The XM312U is a 31.5" UHD resolution HDR and SDR reference master monitor equipped with professional 12Gbps SDI inputs. The XM312U qualifies as a Dolby Vision mastering monitor. A peak luminance over 5,000cd/m2, support for both PQ and HLG EOTFs, multiple color gamut selections, and a contrast ratio in excess of 5,000,000:1 make the XM312U ideal for a wide variety of demanding HDR workflows.
Many professional HDR displays have a peak luminance of just 1,000nits. With a peak luminance over 5,000nits, the XM312U is five times brighter making it one of the brightest commercially available professional HDR monitors.
The XM312U achieves this with a full array local dimming backlight with over 2,300 individually controlled LED elements. Compared to the award-winning XM310K that it replaces, the XM312U features a 20% improvement in the ratio of backlight zones to pixels, twice the panel static contrast ratio, and a peak luminance that is over 2,000nits brighter. These advancements combine for a truly unparalleled HDR viewing experience.
The XM312U's industry leading peak luminance isn’t just about specular highlight capability. With a 5,000nit capable HDR display colorists have a much larger color volume to work with that contains a wide palette of bright saturated colors simply not available on dimmer displays.
12Gbps SDI connections greatly simplify room design by allowing you to feed 4K and UHD signals to the display over a single cable. Quad 1.5Gbps and 3Gbps SDI connectivity are also supported ensuring compatibility with practically any type of 4K or UHD output. The XM312U supports advanced 12bit 4:4:4 YCbCr and RGB signals setting it apart from less advanced monitoring solutions.
The XM312U features the unique ability to simultaneously supply a clean 12G / 6G loop through and real-time down converted 3G or 1.5G output. Any incoming single link 4K or UHD signals can be converted to 2K or HD outputs for downstream HD monitors or scopes, all without needing any standalone down conversion equipment.
The IP Remote Utility can be used to remotely toggle functions, switch inputs, and navigate the menu on Flanders Scientific monitors using your Mac or PC's keyboard, mouse or control panel. Also available for iOS devices.
A Stream Deck can be easily configured for use with the IP Remote Utility to trigger shortcuts.

The XM312U is a native UHD resolution monitor (3840x2160) that supports full screen viewing of HD, Ultra HD, and 4K content.
XM series monitors automatically read payload ID (VPID) information embedded in SDI signals and lock to the signal accordingly. This information can also be temporarily displayed whenever a format change is detected so that you can be sure that what you intend to output to the monitor is what the monitor receives.
A VPID override toggle is also provided allowing users to manually configure the monitor in instances where the payload ID may be missing or incorrect.
View interlaced video with correct field order or combine fields and display interlaced signals as progressive.
HD content is displayed without interpolation by representing every pixel from the incoming source as 4 pixels on the panel. This allows for accurate signal representation on screen by avoiding interpolation methods that might mask or omit image issues.
The XM312U features direct compatibility with on-set color applications like Livegrade Pro and Prelight for real-time color manipulation without the need for a standalone 4K LUT box.
The XM312U is ideal for multi-cam monitoring applications with support for simultaneous viewing of up to 4 genlocked HD feeds and the additional ability to view any feed full screen as needed.

4 adjustment points from 0-100 percent allow you to establish specific target areas to be shown in false color or greyscale.
